The easiest way to sell Ebooks online


How many times have you heard of people struggling to sell ebooks online? Maybe it made you nervous even start writing your first ebook. Or maybe you discouraged, destroyed your dreams of becoming the new Web Rowling and Stephen King.

Actually, it is difficult to sell ebooks online. However, you need to know - or learn - some 'tricks' and 'secrets' on how to get things done right, and in the correct sequence.

While parts of this article seem counter-intuitive, think about them. After all, if everyone else do things the same way but not being able to sell ebooks online, it might be worth trying a different approach, right?

Start with your market

Far too many want to sell ebooks online infopreneurs eager, and begin quickly through the planning and writing an ebook about something you are passionate about. At best, you ask some friends what they think of the idea - and when some of them agree, it's time to go to the races!

Unfortunately, market research does not mean to ask a couple of friends. Or even a lot of friends (unless you are ready to shell out money up front for when your book is ready!)

Look for hungry crowds. What do people want? What problems do they face and what solutions are they not finding? What kind of things keep them awake at night worrying or dreaming of having?

Once you know trigger your hot target market, and understand what drives them, you have achieved something not many other infopreneurs will ever learn.

Do not write your book - Write a blog

Yes, I'm serious. Do not write your ebook. If you want to sell ebooks online, you first need a hungry crowd of buyers who want your book, are eagerly waiting for this, and will be happy to pay to give them.

Where are these buyers? On your blog. And what is your blog? Content they want. Organize your book, and while writing the chapters, send a short (or long), extract it to your blog regularly.

As visitors read the content of your blog, and like it, want more. Tell them you are planning an ebook on the subject. Ask them what they want to learn more about it. Invite to sign up for pre-launch announcement list.

Warm Up Your List

The list will grow, populated by avid readers who are the perfect target market for your ebook. Get ready to buy them by spraying the content that you are giving them a copy with a short 'teaser' of how good the ebook will be.

If you have friends who are experts or celebrities, give them sample chapters to review, and use their feedback and testimonials in your e-mail list to show how even big shots like what's in your ebook.

Launch with a Bang

When your book is ready to launch, do a hard-sell promotion to your list for the first few days. Give your loyal fans a pre-launch discount, then some extra bonus to the day of launch, and finally, if you buy some unique gifts beyond the week of launch.

Encourage them to spread the word, perhaps including an affiliate program in which they are paid a share of profits from every sale you refer to your site.

This is by far the easiest way to sell ebooks online - because they are not really sell, you're just putting your ebook in front of an audience that has already said what I want to buy! ......
