Teach A Dog Not The Same Adult Training a Puppy
While we are told over and over that dog training should be done since the dog is a puppy, all is not lost if you decide to train our old dog. As we age, like humans, dogs require a longer period of time to learn, but this does not mean you can not educate an adult dog.
As we read it for small dogs, will require patience and perseverance, maybe a little more, but have the advantage that an adult dog is less anxious and more intelligent to understand what we are trying to teach him.
If adopted an adult dog should not expect immediate results, requires an adjustment period in which we must pay close attention, but this does forgive misconduct. For adult dogs adopted, the first phase of training is to acclimate in our homes warm. Take him out with us, spend time with him to accept us as his master. During the first night I spent in our house will be prepared to cry during the night, the violence will not silence him, instead ... When we stand up and cry a few moments with him, pet him and take him to his crate.
To teach an adult dog is very small and not recommended to violently punish the dog. This is doubly true for adult dogs. It is almost impossible to teach this primitive method to an adult dog may even bite. To control your bad habits we must turn to teach, for example where to do their business, rather than where not to teach.
Once acclimated adult dog, the key is to develop a good working environment for training. The quiet, no distractions, preferably familiar, like the house in Park Place.
Proceed as with a small dog, encouraged with food rewards when we try to teach you a trick. The difference will be that we can expect faster results than with a puppy, but we have to repeat the session later, to reaffirm.
Armed with patience and by following these instructions, we will educate our adult dog.
