How to Volunteer?

To volunteer is worth making some preliminary reflections. Should not rush because a solid work from the start will avoid the rush and the creation of a confusing scenario of voluntary action.

Before volunteering ...

- Think about your preferences and what makes you feel better according to your abilities. You go to the organization that will attract and inform you properly on their activities, their regulation and specific conditions of the internship.

- Make sure you understand what you do and think about the free commitments acquired in terms of time and energy.

- Make sure that you will not be exploited and that your work is in the interest of the marginalized or the activity of this association.

- Do not allow yourself to be used as free labor served as a worker who needs it.

- Remember that not all the work of volunteers is to go next to the needy. Much work needs to be done in the rear for the whole partnership work as a real living organism.

- According to the above, age, economic status, family, or a physical disability may not exclude you and necessary for effective collaboration.

- Keep in mind that this is not true that "one must serve for all?. That is the phrase of choice for superficial and inconsistent. Remember that one does best what he likes and for which he has skills. This is not an obstacle to not try to do what we do not like simply because they do not know.

- If you are not willing to do the necessary training, or think you do not have time for it, and want to throw away if you think action should not go to another place where you spend your time wisely.
