Strategies of conflict management
Avoiding conflict is among the biggest mistakes you can do since the problem never goes away on its own. One of the strategies of conflict management is to attend only to the conflict rather than ignore it. Even when conflicts appear superficially to rest or calm down, always rear their ugly heads every time the stress is amplified or when a new row and disagreement ensues. Unresolved conflicts, disagreements between the parties and rivalries fester just below the visible surface in the workplace. They never go away. They just wait for a catalyst is activated, and then exploded into a phenomenal scale. Saying that a problem will pass with time is rarely true and shows a lack of strategies for managing conflicts.
Meeting separately with individuals involved in a conflict is one of the most effective strategies for conflict management. If what you want is that every individual will express to you, it is better to express themselves individually in the presence of all other parties. Speaking of a single person improves the risk of polarization in their positions further. Each person involved in a conflict of interest usually leads and will always try to put himself as the "right". Do not put in the role of judge and jury. As an employee, each of them will try to convince you that only their case is worth. By listening to them together, and prejudices are eliminated one of them will give you the opportunity to listen to the other without interruption. Have the capacity and creating an opportunity to listen to during the conflict is among the best approaches to conflict management, which help to resolve the conflict.
Do not believe that workers involved in a conflict are the only ones interested. In the workplace, almost everyone is suffering from an incidence of conflict, and soon the office becomes polarized, when the conflict began only two individuals. Employees in conflict interaction in the office with their co-worker friends. This means that they are also affected by the conflict and underlined. If you have an unresolved conflict involving some employees, others are also affected. Remember that conflict protagonists and antagonists, and do not want your workplace to be polarized. These divisions can ruin even the most established organizations. As such, one of the strategies of conflict management is to attend to the needs of other employees to ensure that morale does not give up because of the initial conflict. The use of effective strategies of conflict management can make the difference between a failing business with low morale, and a thriving business with happy employees ....
