Rurouni Kenshin: From Swords and Ideals


One of the most popular animes of recent years is hard Rurouni Kenshin. This series of 95 episodes is based on the eponymous manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki, which has 28 volumes and was published by the manga magazine Shonen Jump. The anime has led to the departure of OVA series, film, novels and even video games.

The story revolves around Himura Kenshin, who during the time of the Bakumatsu (late Edo period) was known as Hitokiri Battousai, a feared murderer who fought against members of the Bakufu (Shogunate) of Tokugawa. It has been 10 years and Kenshin, sorry for the murders he committed, he travels all over Japan seeking to protect those most in need. In one of those trips will meet Kaoru Kamiya, a sweet young Kendo teacher, and ended up staying to live with it. Characters like Kenshin, Aoshi, Soujirou, among others, have a huge legion of fans. It's a series that delights both boys and large, men and women. Also, you can not forget that the series has a soundtrack of very high quality. Their openings and endings have become classics. Definitely recommend it. No doubt will be recorded in history as one of the great classics of Japanese animation.
